People say to me all the time... Amanda, what do you do?

I am an experienced print designer and broker doing everything from logo design to proper 'sit down and read for ages' 240 page books. But most importantly I'm a mother of three gorgeous children.

 

Their next question is usually... where do you find the time?

The answer: Usually late at night when everyone else is asleep! I also have help from family and friends when the pressure is really on.

 

Experienced? You bet!

My first job was at the Hawera Star. Back then it was a weekly community newspaper and commercial printer. I was 16 turning 17 and it was my first job straight out of an all-girls school. This is where I learnt the basics of the trade. I spent 11 great years there and transferred within the company to the Taupo Times. Sadly our small print team were made redundant but some loyal clients encouraged me to make the jump and start my own business and Print Ready was born - I never looked back.

25+ years later (no, don't add up my age!) and I still love it which is why redundancy, having a family and shifting house a few times haven't stopped me.
